spammers unite
It must be bizarro world all the time down in Florida. In the news today is a report of several Florida spammers (aka "bulk mail marketing fulfillment houses") who have filed suit in civil court against several anti-spam organizations.

The funny/dangerous thing about this suit is that it could end up setting precedent as to whether or not spammers actually have the right to spam. I hope they have good lawyers with rock-star attitudes and the threads to match.

Like everybody else, I'm sick of spam. Hopefully, it will be outlawed everywhere, eventually. It's telemarketing in a different form...and even more annoying and disturbing. But what do lawyers "threads" have to do with it? ;-)

I was so angry at one piece of junk mail I actually wrote the person back....
The subject line was something like Re: overdue account number#####

When I opened it, it was solicitation mail for insurance or debt consolidation (or some such thing). I wrote back that I would never deal with someone so desperate for new accounts they are willing to misrepresent the subject line of the email. I blocked all future messages from that email address.

This goes beyond the rights of spammers to send junk, this violates the recipients rights to not be mislead.
